Why air-cushion technology?
A hovercraft rides on a cushion of air and can travel over surfaces that challenge wheeled vehicles and conventional boats. This makes it a candidate for mixed water, ice, snow and low-bearing-ground routes.
The ACBR North approach is to begin with proven commercial platforms and then test northern adaptations rather than assume an entirely new vehicle must be invented.
