Air Cushion Boreal Response
ACBR North brings together decades of interest in hovercraft, practical invention, northern transportation, environmental protection, information systems and community advocacy. The project is based in Sarnia, Ontario, with the ambition of building a broad Canadian and Indigenous-led partnership.
L. Bruce Ritchie
Bruce Ritchie is a Canadian entrepreneur, inventor, researcher, author, software designer and community advocate. He has worked as a full-time entrepreneur since 1972 and has experience in hovercraft distribution and design concepts, environmental products, investigative information systems, publishing, photography and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder advocacy.
Project philosophy
ACBR North is intended to be practical, evidence-driven and collaborative. It should welcome rigorous criticism, compare alternatives fairly, protect communities from unsupported promises and keep public benefit at the centre of technical development.
Build the evidence. Respect the land and the people. Develop only what communities can use, govern and sustain.
